The battle between T-series and PewDiePie was a topic for hot debate. However, T-Series became the first YouTube Channel to reach 100 million subscribers and they have undoubtedly won the battle. At the time of writing, PewDiePie has over 96 million subscribers, which is not bad but ultimately, a loss is a loss.
Since 2017, the Indian music record label and film production company run by Bhushan Kumar, known as T-series held the title of the most viewed YouTube channel. On the other hand, PewDiePie, the channel run by the Swedish YouTuber, Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, was the most-subscribed channel since 2013.
In early 2019, there was a constant challenge between the two channels where T-Series temporarily overtook PewDiePie on numerous occasions. On 27th March 2019, T-Series Managed to hold the title for the most-subscribed YouTube channel for 5 consecutive days. PewDiePie managed to retake the lead for the last time and keep the title for 2 more weeks. After that, once more, retook the lead and has held the title for the most subscribed YouTube channel ever since. The battle has now seemingly ended after T-Series reached 100 million subscribers on May 29, 2019.

Several YouTubers like Markiplier, MrBeast, Logan Paul, and Jacksepticeye have supported PewDiePie in order to increases the channels subscription count. The fans of the channel have uploaded YouTube videos and conducted organized marches in order to gain new subscribers. In fact, illegal attempts have also been made in order to increase the subscription count. Numerous reports of hacking social media accounts and personal devices, vandalism, malware creation, etc have been confirmed. PewDiePie even uploaded a diss track named ‘Bitch Lasagna’ and verbally insulted the Indian Channel. This caused a great uproar in the Indian community and led to the ban of the Swedish channel in India at the time.
Even after doing all this, the Indian managed to keep their significant lead and came out on top.
Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg a.k.a PewDiePie was originally known for his ‘Let’s Play’ video. He was also a comedian who did video commentaries. On February 22, 2019, T-Series became the first channel to overtake PewDiePie as the most subscribed channel for 8 minutes. As of now, the channel has over 21.3 billion views, 3.8 thousand video uploads, and 96 million subscribers.
T-series(Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited), has a multi-channel network on YouTube which consists of 29 channels. It is run by a team of 13 people. The primary channel uploads Indian-pop and Bollywood music videos as well as Bollywood film trailers. At the time of writing, they have over 71.7 billion views, 13.3 thousand video uploads, and over 100 million subscribers.
Social Blade is a website that can track the analytics data and user statistics of various social media websites like YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter. It was predicted by Social Blade that T-Series will approximately reach the 100 million on 21st May 2019 and create history on YouTube. As for the Swedish channel, PewDiePie is expected to reach 100 million subscribers by 2nd June.
